This is my first foray into Cast iron toy cars, & I did it to give as a gift for one of my very favorite people, who just got a new car.
After an adventurous learning curve on a closed track, I couldn't stop thinking of how fun it must have been for her, & wanted to commemorate that.

This toy car was mildly rusty, & the wheels were crooked/bent, & out of round - but I fixed all that before painting.
I ground down the casting lines to smooth out the seams, & round the tires better, & got rid of all the rust.
I painted it blue to match her new car, & tried for a design on the grill to match the swish-y logo on her car, as well.
I used silver decals for all design work, & a clear coat to protect the finishes.
Sadly, the silver lost some of it's shine, when I applied the top coat. Not sure why.
